You all know that hydration is one of the biggest keys to being healthy. So why not take it to the next level this summer and enjoy some of the following flavoured water recipes…

Flavoured waters

Forget the store bought ones which are just artificially flavoured expensive water. These homemade ones are healthy and way ahead in taste and refreshment ability.

Served fresh in a clear glass jug the fruit is visually appealing to children who don’t normally like water.

Apple and Cinnamon
½ small green apple, unpeeled but cored and sliced thinly
½ small red apple, unpeeled but cored and sliced thinly
1 cinnamon stick, broken
small handful of fresh mint leaves

Will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge- top up with water as needed.

Raspberry and Mint
10 frozen raspberries
small handful of fresh mint leaves

Will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge- top up with water as needed.

Orange and Strawberry
1 orange, peeled and segmented
3 strawberries, halved and thinly sliced

Will keep for up to 2 days in the fridge- top up with water as needed.

Mango and Lime
¼ mango cheek thinly sliced
5 or 6 thin slices of lime

Will keep for up 1 day in the fridge- top up with water as needed.

Passionfruit and mixed berry
2 passionfruit pulps
1/3 cup mixed berries

Will keep for up to 2 days in the fridge- top up with water as needed.

Lemon and Ginger
2 cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
5 or 6 thin slices of lemon

Will keep for up to 3 days in the fridge- top up with water as needed.
